Bespoke stair and hall runners in Chelsea SW3

The process

While a straight set of stairs is a fairly straight forward proposition, if you have winders - stairs that go around corners, then you will need a template and then we will need to come to visit you in Chelsea. We measure the flights of stairs, we bring samples and we discuss your requirements. At this stage many of our designer and architect clients will provide us with a design. After calculating the costs, we will then send you a quote for the project.

Post quote

Once you have accepted the quote and depending on the complexity of the design and the staircase (if it has stripes or winding stairs for example), we will return to the property to create a template. The carpet is then ordered, cut to size, whipped and bound to seal the edges or a cotton bordered tape is stitched on. The runner is then carefully checked for defects and delivered to site.

Why You Should Buy A Carpet Stair Runner for Your Stairs

Do you see all those beautiful stair runners and dream of having one for your home as well? If so, you’re not alone. Many homeowners these days are installing carpet stair runners in their homes to add a dash of style and warmth. After all, nothing beats the comfort of coming home to a lovely, warm house after a long day at work. Installing carpet stair runners is a great way to achieve that effect. Carpet stair runners can also help make up for an uninspiring staircase and bring it back to life. Staircases are often neglected and overlooked in most homes, but they play a big part in the overall feel of any space. Often times, they’re dark and grimy because they’re hard to clean and most people don’t think about them when designing their home. However, with the right carpets and accessories, this won’t be a problem anymore.

How to Decide Which Carpet Is Best for Your Staircase?

Deciding which carpet is best for your staircase is actually quite easy. First and foremost, you have to decide whether you want a solid colour or a patterned carpet. This choice will depend on your personal style and preferences. A solid colour carpet would be great for a contemporary home, whereas a patterned carpet would be more suitable for a more traditional setting. Once you’ve made that decision, you need to choose the right type of carpet for your staircase. Staircases are notoriously tricky to clean and maintain, so you have to make sure you’re getting a durable and sturdy type of carpet. Carpets made with synthetic materials, such as nylon and polyester, are usually the best option. They’re easy to clean and they also repel stains and dirt incredibly well. They’re available in a wide variety of colours and styles, so you’ll definitely be able to find something that suits your needs.

Solid Colour Carpet Runners

If you choose a solid colour carpet runner for your staircase, you’ll be able to create an overall bold and dramatic look. A solid colour carpet is a great choice for a staircase with dark wood and a dark railing, for example. It’ll help tie all of your design elements together and create an elegant and sophisticated look. If you want to create a more relaxed, casual vibe, you can try a patterned carpet runner instead. A patterned carpet is perfect if you want to add a pop of colour and brightness to your staircase.

Patterned Carpet Runners

If you choose a patterned carpet runner for your staircase, you can add a bit of whimsy and brightness to any staircase. Patterned carpets can come in practically any colour or design you can imagine. If you want to add a splash of colour and personality to your staircase, a patterned carpet is the perfect choice. It’ll be sure to stand out and feel like home.

Conclusion

Carpet stair runners are a great way to spruce up your staircase and give it a new lease on life. If you want your staircase to be the focal point of your home, a carpet runner is exactly what you need. With a wide variety of designs and colours to choose from, you’ll definitely be able to find something that suits your tastes. Make sure to choose the right type of carpet for your staircase. Solid colour carpets would be best for a staircase with dark wood, whereas patterned carpets would work best for a more colourful staircase.
