Bespoke stair and hall runners in Chelsea SW3

Cavendish deVere design and create custom and bespoke stair runners in Chelsea SW3. Almost all types of carpet can be used to make a runner - from natural fibres such as sisal, seagrass, coir and jute to traditional flat-weave carpets and stripes.

The process

While a straight set of stairs is a fairly straight forward proposition, if you have winders - stairs that go around corners, then you will need a template and then we will need to come to visit you in Chelsea. We measure the flights of stairs, we bring samples and we discuss your requirements. At this stage many of our designer and architect clients will provide us with a design. After calculating the costs, we will then send you a quote for the project.

Post quote

Once you have accepted the quote and depending on the complexity of the design and the staircase (if it has stripes or winding stairs for example), we will return to the property to create a template. The carpet is then ordered, cut to size, whipped and bound to seal the edges or a cotton bordered tape is stitched on. The runner is then carefully checked for defects and delivered to site.
